Continued from page 1 fruit, etc. Another committee will research the -mills of Rappahannock, another religion and churches, another cemeteries, their location and identity." A committee will check early Indian trails and how they became coach and toll roads, and today’s modern highways. It will be necessary to have a museum committee to collect and classify artifacts, ipcludihg early tools, guns, utensils, etc., also one for records and publications, and of course most essential will .tie the one on membership and financing. A possible museum and headquarters has already been offered for the society’s use. At the December 14 meeting these committees will be open for volunteer membership. Charter membership will be available at this first meeting also. The amount of dues for membership will be determined by those present at the initial meeting. Four of the five trustees of the library were present at Avon Hall, and all gave hearty approval to this program. It was the Library which gave early reports as to the dearth of county history. This new society is the natural extension of the work started by the Library, it will still be the function of the Library to collect and record documents, letters, and reports pertaining to the county s history, and will serve as an adjunct to the society. »• Anyone interested in further information may phone or write Mr.' William M.
