2 Week-end Wrecks

A single vehicle accident occurred at 9 p.m. November 15 on Route 729 a half mile from Flint Hill, according to Trooper W. A. Buntin. Clarence E. (Skippy) Giles, Jr. operating a ’55 Chevro- , let sedan owned by his father C. E. Giles, Washington, lost control of the car on a sharp curve, ran off the right of the road and struck the bank Giles was not injured. Cecil Pullen a passenger in the Giles vehicle sustained a slight injury of the arm and was treated at Warren Memorial Hospital and released Damage to the car was estimated at $300, said Trooper Buntin. Two vehicles collided at the intersection in the town of Sperryville on November 16 at 8:30 p.m. According to Trooper W. A, Buntin, John Thomas Harrison of Washington, Va. driving a 63-64 Dodge Dart skidded on wet pavement and struck William Elbert Coates of Etlan who was operating a 56 International pickup. There were no injuries. Damage was estimated at $200 to the Dart and $100 to the pickup.
