Mrs. Thomas Howie of Staunton was the guest from Tuesday until Saturday Christmas week of Judge and Mrs. T. C. Lea and family.
Among those attending an Open House New Year’s Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson in Alexandria were Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs, C. J. Miller and Mrs. W. F. Moffett. Mrs. Wade H. Massie, III is a patient at- the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, whtere she entered on Saturday for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid, Jr. arrived Wednesday at Rose Cottage, the home of Mr. Reid’s mother for a visit of several days. Mr. and Mrs. Reid whose home i6 in New York, have recently returned from a thirty two day trip to Sputh America on the S. S. MorMacCove, of which Mr. Reid is Captain. Capt. W' 111 i a m Wiener of Bridgewater was an overnight guest Wednesday of Mu and Mrs. W. A. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall King of Ale* andria and daughter Miss Catherine King of New York visited the Millers and other friends in the county on Christmas Day.
