It Didn’t Sail!
All dressed up and no place to go—that’s the situation in which Miss Annie Miller Almond of Washington and M rs. James M. Settle, Flint Hill found themselves last week. They were scheduled to embark Wednesday on a 10-day Caribbean cruise aboard the Moore-McCormick line's SS Argentina. Sailing ot the Argentina was cancelled by the longshoremans dock strike. Though the vessel had already been stocked with supplies and there was the possibility that passengers might carry their own luggage aboard, a last minute meeting of the union prohibited anyone crossing the picket line, sode parture was cancelled indefinitely.
Mrs. Settle and Miss Almond left Rappahannock Monday afternoon for New York by bu^ Arriving there they stayed at the Taft Hotel awaiting sailing time. Word came of the cancellation and all passengers were notified.
