Hampton, Va. - Master Sergeant Maury W. Brown, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown of Sperryville, has been decorated with the U. S. Air Force Commendation Medal at Langley AFB, Va. Sergeant Brown was awarded the medal for meritorious service as a wobk control technician at Sewart AFB, Tenn. He is now at Headquarters, Tactical Air Command (TAC) at Langley. TAC providesfire power and other air support to U. S. Army forces. The sergeant is a former student at Sperryville High School. His wife, Marilyn, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Fairbetter of Boyd. Tex.
