Randolph Devers had with them for the igeek-end their son and daughtef-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers and children of Front Royal. On account of snow-blocked roads at entrance to Thornton s Gap Church the regular services were held Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in the home of Mrs. J. Harvey Daily. The pastor Elder W. T. Daily of Luray officiated. Fot lowing the hour of worship about 15 members of the group served a birthday dinner honoring the anniversaries of Mrs. W. T. Daily and Miss Lois Yates. Miss Sue Many spent Saturday shopping in Richmond. Miss Mildred Many of Washington, D.C. and Bill Muntz of Maryland' were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Many at Ivy Hill.

Mrs. James Glover of Washington, D. C. recently spent a week visiting Mrs. Lucy Thornhill and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thornhill and family. The three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Johnson were ill at home with a virus several days this week. Wednesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sparks and family were Mrs. Sparks’ mother Mrs. Frank Anderson of Culpeper and her brotherin-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwell and son Charles of Haymarket.
