Mrs. Emma Laing
Mrs. Emma Florence Laing of Sperryville died Saturday, January 16, 1965 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital where she 1 had been a patient for the past nine days. Daughter of j the late Albert William Bailey : and the late Harriet Perry Bailey, she was a native of ; Rileyville, Page County. She : was 80. : From her marriage to the late Joseph M. Deavers of Page County, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ellis Baker, Mrs. Robert Racer and Mrs. J. Bradley Atkins, all of Sperryville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert D. Bailey of Rileyville; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leola Byers of Williamsport, Md., daughter of her second husband, the late Jacob C. Laing ofWarreji County. 1 A funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Geest funeral chapel, Culpeper with burial in Sperryville Cemetery. The Rev. Leonard S. Barnes of Fredericksburg will conduct the last rites. Mrs. Laing was a member ;of the Culpeper Seventh Day Adventist Church.
