A large delegation was present Friday for the road hearing held annually in connection with the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors meeting in April. D. S. Butler, resident engineer, was present to hear complaints, criticisms, and suggestions c o n c e r ning the county roads. . Mr. and Mrs. B. James Moss t and Mrs. Jewelle Magariety requested that Route 618 from Hope Hill to Laurel Mills be worked on since there were large sink holes where the road bed was washed out. A petition signed by residents of the Chester Gap area was presented Mr. Butler. It requested the improvement of Route 610 from Appalachian Inn through the subdivision on top of the mountain. This road though hard surfaced is nap row, winding and steep. E. A. Harris spoke on the condition of goute 662 from Rt. 522 near- Huntly to the dead end, saying it had sink holes and was rutted. Mr. Butler advised that this would be taken care of as soon as possible and that a new section off of 622 would also be improved.
