Paint-up Fix-up and Cleanup Week in the Town of Washington got off to a good start on Monday with a perfect day for spring cleaning and garden ing. Tuesday was a normal April day with on and off showers that put a real damper on activities and the weather man promises little better until later in the week. Saturday is collection day for trash accumulated during the winter but the citizens are reminded that paper and garbage are not included. Jonquils jasmine, forsythia and tulips are beginning to bloom and add their contribution to the fixup campaign. A sage recently pointed out that tin clns, junked cars and paper packaging that constitute such a disposal problem are by-products of our affluent society and were nc problem in former years when few enjoyed the priviledge of their use. It seems that this is the other side of the coin that it really isn’t ‘easy come easy go’.

The three kittens were born on April 6, 1965. Suszy Q had the kittens. One kitten looked like Suszy Q, with black dots and the other one looked like Jasper. It had three black dots on his back. The other one was all white, but his taij'was gray. [Mrs. Schuermann. the owner of the kittens, said shewasgoing to give them away when they were two months old. Mrs. Schuermann is going to give them to Mr. Riley.
