|ur. wells posed the question whether' we as young people would defend our freedoms against Communism and other socialistic practices. After lunch, at the second general assembly the new candidates for State Offices were presented. After the second assembly the delegates attended problem clinics and discussion groups. They got several new ideas for their school’s S.C.A. from these discussion^ some of which were: 1. Methods of parliamentary procedure. 2. Ways of increasing patriotism.
3. Ways of improving sports-, tnanehlp; « ? > After dinner the third general assembly was held. The delegates spent Saturday night with families in Martinsville. On Sunday morning the closing General Assembly convened, at which time the new state officers were installed. Dr. D. M. Lawson, Dean of Men at Randolph Macon College, was guest speaker. His topic was on the subject, ‘Becoming a Real Person*. The trip was a very enjoyable and educational one.
