Joan Lee and Page Moffett, 1965-1966 Student Cooperative Association Vice President and President, were chosen to represent their school at the 39th Annual State Conference of the Student Cooperative Association. The Conference was held April 24, 1965 at the Martinsville High School, Martinsville, Va. They left Friday morning at 11:30. They were accompanied by the school’s S.C.A. Adviser Miss Luerena Zinn. They arrived at the High School at 9 o’clock Saturday morning. After registration and housing of delegates the opening general assembly was convened. The highlight of this assembly was Dr. Kenneth D. Wells who spoke on “Patriotism, 1776, 1965 - What Is It?" Dr. Wells’ is president of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Force.
