Sperryvllle Fire Department answered a call Saturday afternoon to a field fire on the Grigsby property back of the high school. Saturday night they answered an alarm to a brush fire on the James E. Swindler farm. Sunday morning they were called to a chimney fire at the home of John Mack Jenkins at Scrabble March 31, Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Berniece Andes from the office of Dr. Snead to University of Virginia Hospital On April 3, Mrs. Ellis Jenkins was taken to Culpeper Mem orial Hospital. Tuesday, the 6th, Silas Foster was taken from Sperryvllle to W a r re n Memorial Hospital. The Rappahannock Rescue Squad reported at the scene of an accident Saturday afternoon at Massie's Corner. There were no injuries. Sunday morning the Squad took Mrs. William Lane from her home in Woodville to the Culpeper Memorial Hospital following injuries received from a horse. The Washington Fire Company reported at the field fire Saturday on the Grigsby property.
Amissville Fire Company answered a call to the home of Arthur William Tracey at Jeffersonton early Friday morning where a meat house was destroyed. However, the house nearbv was 'brotected.
