The firemen had 'gathered and most of the guests had arrived at Amissville fire hall Friday night for the annual banquet given by thq Ladies Auxiliary when the siren sound ed calling the men to a fire thereby delaying the dinner for some thirty minutes. However, the delightful dinner and entertainment made up for the inconvenience and delay. Ralph Rowzie with his subtle humor was a congenial toast-* master introducing guests and announcing the speaker. The invocation was given by the Rev. Charles Kindred and Mrs. Russell Hackley welcomed the visitors. This wts followed by the dinner which was accompanied with piano music by Miss Sandra Rowzie* Entertainment was provided by Mrs. Loring Vance who sang two solos and by Miss /anet Hacklev and Misd Brenda Hackley, in a comic skit. 1 The Amissville F|re Company received a check for $1500 from the Ladies Auxiliary, a check for $100 and rhree hose nozzles from the
