Accident

Ington wrecked'his 57 DeSoto March 20 on Route 522 two miles south of Flint Hill. The accident occurred at 1:25 a.m. when a tire blew out and the vehicle ran off the right of the road and overturned. Clanagan was not injured, but the car was a total loss. He was charged with failing to keep his vehicle under control. At 5j30 a.m. the morning of the 20th on Route 626 just east of Rock Mills Ralph Parker of Culpeper operating a 58 Chevrolet ran off the road into a creek. He apparently fell asleep while driving. Parker was not injured and damage to the car was estimated at $100. He was charged with failing to keep his vehicle under control.
A two-car collision occurred Saturday night about 9:30 on Route 211 at the entrance to Cross Creek Cabins in Culpeper county near Amissville.
According to Trooper J. C. Lawson the two vehicles collided when Maurice Tyler of Bealeton operating a 64 Ford made a left turn across the highway to go into the service station at Cross Creek. Tyler struck an oncoming car, a 54 Ford operated by Russell Cubbage of Culpeper. Injured in the accident were Mrs. Cubbage who sustained abrasions of both knees and Joyce Wingfield, also of Culpeper, who sustained a lacerated head. Both were treated at Culpeper Memorial Hospital and released. Tyler was charged with reckless driving.
