Beauty Pageant
Rehearsal Monday
There is still time to enter the Rappahannock Jaycees Beauty Pageant which will be held at the local high school on Friday, April 1. Entries have been steady, but the 18to 28 age group is still not as full as is desired. According to a Jaycee spokesman, this age group will be required to appear only in evening dresses and not in swim suits as previously announced. A rehearsal for all age groups will be held Monday, March 28 at Rappahannock County High School beginning at 8 p.m., and all contestants are requested to be present. Entries may be made by contacting Mrs. Rodney Vest at Woodville, phone 987-3556 or Mrs. James Wayland, Sperryville, phone 987-2001. Tickets for the pageant are on sale at Sperryville Corner Store, Sperryville Barbershop or Sperryville Esso Service or may be purchased from any Jaycee. Tickets for reserved seats are $2.00; other admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children.
