Miss Brown Assumes
Agents Position
Miss Diane Brown, a native of Denton, Maryland and a graduate of Bridgewater College assumed her duties as Extension Agent, Home Economics in Rappahannock Coun ty, September 1. Miss Brown received a B. S. Degree in Home Economics last June and has been training in Madison County for the past two months. Miss Brown will be in charge of the Extension program in Home Economics for Home Demonstration Clubs, 4-H Clubs and special interest groups said Miss Eva Minix, Extension Program Leader in Home Economics for 19 North ern Virginia counties.
Arts & Crafts Planning Meeting Set
A planning meeting of the Arts and Crafts Project for the October Show will be held Tuesday, September 13 at 10 a. m. at Cab Inn. Anyone interested in showing or any aspects of the Project is urged to attend. If additional information is desired call Mrs. IT. J. Pillar, 987-2414 or Mrs. Mary Cleverley 675-3541.
j First Baptism Held In New Mission
On Sunday, September 4, the first Baptism was held in the new Baptist Church at Chester Gap. Those who were baptized by the Rev. R. j. Rasberry were Mrs. Dorcas Kuser, Mrs. Jessie Wines, Miss Mattie Williams, Miss Judy Burke, Bruce Williams and Wayne Sealock. The new pews were delivered and installed in the church last week.
