After such . matters as fees, insurance, etc. were explained, the students body assembled in the 1 auditorium for an address by j our new principal Mr. Dennis Wingfield. Mr. Wingfield outlined a policy concerning school matters, ' introduced some changes, and gave us a very good set of rules which Will minimize the inconvenience of overcrowding until the new wing is completed.
Following the assembly students attended shortened morn' ing classes and then were served a hearty lunch at noon. Three more afternoon classes preceded another assembly which concluded the day.’s < work. Dismissal came at 2:30 and some 310 tired people departed for home.
So went the first day of school and so goes my first edition of Panther Tales. I hope that I shall be able to do as good a job of reporting school news as have the seniors of the past. Students! Remember this is your column too. Any friendly (please) suggestions you , may have will be appreciated.
