3 Escape Injury in
Saturday Crash
,Three people escaped seribus injury Saturday, October 1, in a two-vehicle collision on Route 522 just north of Flint Hill. Mrs. Eva Long Smith of Flint Hill, operating her 1964 Valiant, was struck by a 1960 Chevrolet pickup owned and operated by Arthur O. Smoot, also of Flint Hill. Mrs. Smith was proceeding north on the
which had crossed the center of the road into the northbound lane. She swerved to the left of the highway to avoid a headon collision and the right of the pickup struck the right of the Smith auto. Mrs. Roberta Spalding, of Flint Hill, a passenger in the Valiant, sustained a bruised arm in the crash. Damage to the car was estimated at $400 and to the truck $300.
