Just a reminder again about the exhibit that the Arts and Grafts Committee will have during the home show. Question - How can I get grass stain out of new fabrics on the market - especially a polyester and cotton durable press fabric? Answer - Sponging with alcohol will remove most plant stains from washable cottons, but be sure to test on a scrap of fabric first to make sure color is fast. After this, treating the spot with a mixture of detergent and water followed by laundering should remove the stain. However, a durable press finish is like any resintreated fabric and stains often persist after treatment.
