New Closing Date for
Feed Grain Program
The wheat and feed grain program signup period has been modified for Virginia counties according to James E. Warren, Chairman of the State ASC Committee. The new closing date for enrollment in these programs is March 17, 1967. The previous closing date was March 3. The State committee hasdetermined that a signup period from February 6 to March 17, 1967 will insure that all farmers have an opportunity to discuss the program with , ASC county office people before making up their minds about taking part. Signup is the essential first step toward participation in a farm program. No further extension is anticipated for adverse weather or other reasons; therefore, farmers are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to enroll. The final date of March 3 to sign up in the Cropland Adjustment Program was not changed in view of the fact that present requests under this program generally have already exceeded available funds.
