Front Royal Choir Plans Easter Program
The Front Royal Oratorio So ciety will present a program of Easter music on Palm Sunday, March 19th. For this event, the director will be Ronald E. Johnston, minister of music and education at the Front Royal First Baptist Church. Accompanist will be Mrs. Helen Cunningham Smith organist for the Calvary Epis copal Church, Front Royal. Christ Lay in Death’s Dark Prison, an Easter cantata by !J. S. Bach has been chosen to begin the performance. The Oratorio Society will also sing two choruses from Handel’s The Messijfttr Miss Judith Curfman, director of music and educational assistant at the Front Royal Methodist Church, will conclude the evening of music with the soprano air, "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth” from The Messiah. The public is invited to this occurence in preparation for Easter.
