Regulations Clarified

Copies of a clarified and simplified version of Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries’ regulations will be posted at Court Houses all over Virginia February 1 as a first step in readopting and republishing current regulations in a more simplified and better organized format, in ; accordance with a procedure | approved by the 1966 General Assem b 1 y, Commission Executive Director Chester F. 3helps announced.

“The new version contains no basic changes in the content of the regulations, which have merely been combined, condensed and organized to make them more mearingful to the general public," Phelps said. Over the years many individual game and fish regulations have been added and changed, resulting in some duplication and poor organiza tion that have made them difficult for even our professional law enforcement people to interpret. The new format will be similar to that used in the Code of Virginia and will be designed to absorb future changes in a systematic manner.
