Housekeeping cabins, fully equipped and furnished, are available at eight of the nine parks. They are: Claytor Lake near Dublin; Douthat, near Clif ton Forge; Fairy Stone, near Basset; Hungry Mother, near Marion; Prince Edward, near Burkeville; Seashore, at Virginia Beach; Staunton River, near South Boston, and Westmoreland, near Montross. Cabins will be available for the 1967 season from May 15 until September 25. Cabins may ^be rented during this period for one week. When space is available, the rental periocU-will be extended to a mximum of two weeks. All cabin reservations begin and end on Monday. Concessions in the Parks, which include restaurants, stores, lifeguard service, boat rentals and horseback riding, will be open May 30 through Labor Day. Bathing and swimming will not be permitted prior to May 30 a-nd after Labor Day. The three State Recreational Areas — Bear Creek in Cumberland County, Goodwyn Lake in Prince Edward County, and
Holliday Lake, in App|mattox County -- will be operrduring the 1967 season for the same period as State Parks. None of the recreational areas have cabins or overnight accommodations, but campingfacilities are available in each area. Each area also has picnic facilities, and offers bathing and swimming, including bathhouse and lifeguard service, boats, fishing, and a store where light refreshments are for sale.
Tent and trailer camping areas in the State Parks anc State Recreational Areas are open for use throughout the year.
