Two Cars Crash
In Amissville Mar. 23
Two vehicles were involved in a crash on Route 211 ir Amissville about 8:30 p.m. March 23. Both operators were local residents. Mrs. Mary Ellen Halle driving a 65-66 Cadillac and Roger Gerald Poe in a 64-65 Fore were proceeding west on the highway. The Poe vehicle attempted to pass the Halle car as Mrs. Halle made a left turn into her driveway. The Poe vehicle skidded when the driver applied the brakes anc the rear of both cars were damaged to the extent of about $200, according to Trooper W, A. Buntin who investigated. There were no injuries. A hit and run traffic eras! occurred on Route 611 souti of Amissville on the 25th oi March. According to Troopei J. B. Willis, John Franklir Walker of Culpeper operating a 1960 Chevrolet station wagor was struck by a 66 Ford operated by Elmer D. Bohrer ol Falls Church. The statior wagon was owned by Alexandei C. Walker of Culpeper and the Ford was owned by Emil} Hicks Jenkins of Falls Church. Bohrer failed to stop at th€ scene of the accident but wat apprehended later by Troopei C. K. Highsmith and Troopei Willis in Arlington.
