Last Wednesday afternoon this traffic crash occurred at the corner of Route 211 and Gay Street in the Town of Washington. Wilhelm Feldmier of the German Embassy in Washington, D.C. was operator of this '62 Pontiac which went out of control as it rounded the curve at the blinker light, in the eastbound lane. The vehicle ran off the left of the road, veered back across it and struck a utility pole and the hedge around Trinity Episcopal Church, according to Trooper W. A. Iluntin. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200 and to the hedge and pole $150. The picture was taken by Cil Davis.
