OBITUARIES
Mrs. Carrie Q. Settle
A funeral service was held Sunday at Hope Hill Community Chapel near Castle for Mrs. Carrie Quaintance Settle, 80, of Woodville. Burial was in the family ceme tery near Castleton. Mrs. Settle died Thursday, November' 3 at the Culpeper Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Taylor Martin and Mae Melvinda Campbell. Survivors include six sons, W. Grover Settle and Albert T. Settle, both of Castleton, Oscar H. Settle of Tacoma Park, Md., Otho M. Settle of Rixeyville, Charles W. Settle of Woodville and James E. Settle of Columbia, Pa; five daughters, Mrs. Janie Cloud, Mrs. Ella Rutherford and Mra Downing Hitt, all of Castleton, Mrs. Frank Parker of Amissville and Miss Myrtle i Settle of Culpeper; 42 grancr children and 28 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frankie Settle, Bobby Cloud, John W. Settle, Downing Lee Hitt, Wayne Hitt, Richard Bayne, William Settle and Charles Settle. Geest Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
