Silage Clinic Set
Jan. 23 in Culpeper
Rappahannock farmers may participate in the Silage Clinic being held at the Extension Offices in Culpeper January 23rd. First bring your silage sample by this office to be sent off for analysis. At this time bring in an extra pint. We freeze the extra sample to have on hand the day silage is judged for quality. After samples are judged test data can be had. Since analysis require about one week, farmers to enter should bring samples in right away. Local farmers already entering are H. L. Manwaring [Charlie Compton and I. L. Parrish. i Samples, being stored at 'Swan & Co., will be thawed the morning of the 23rd. Judging by Dr. Scott Carr and Harlan White, V.P.I., will take place at 11:00 a.m. with the Clinic and discussion of placings to be at 1:15 p.m. | In past years this Clinic has attracted widespread interest among Culpeper beef and dairy cattle producers and has been of material benefit instimulat ing and teaching how to produce quality silage at noextra cost.
