To Gaza as Nurse
Miss Anne Dwyer ofSperryville will be one of five Southern Baptist nurses who will be leaving almost immediately for Gaza to relieve the shortage of nurses at the Baptist Hospital, a condition made critical by the June war in the Middle East. Miss Dwyer, a career missionary nurse who has been on inactive status since last April, was returned to active duty at the January meeting of the Foreign Missions Board, Richmond. She had served a four-year term in the Gaza hospital before going to the Baptist Hospital in A.jloun, Jordan for five years, and now will return to Gaza. The hospital, which has always relied heavily on Arab doctors and nurses,must have more missionary help while nursing students from the Gaza Strip are training.
