Miss Virginia Yates Bradford of Flint Hill has been tap ped for Pi Gamma Mu, a National Social Science Honorary Society. Requirements for eligibility as a member include twenty semester hours in social studies and a B average with no failures in any subject. Miss Bradford is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr. and a 1965 grad uate of Rappahannock County High School.
Film “Parable” To Be
Shown on May 4th
The film “Parable* will be shown Saturday, May 4 at the Flint Hill Fire Hall at 8 p.m. under the sponsorship of the Methodist Church. This much sought after and controversial film was shown at the World's Fair by the National Council of Churches. The public i£ cordially invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.
Rummage Sales Open
The Rummage Sale you have been waiting for opens today in the basement of the Postoffice building in Washington. It will continue every Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. during the month of May. Among other tempting articles on sale this week will be a hand hooked rug donated by the well know rugmaker Mrs. Jennie Beahm. Benefit yourself and the Washington Fire Companyand Rappahannock Rescue Squad by patronizing this sale.
