Don Allen Deal, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Deal of Sperryville, graduated from Monroe College in Middletown, Virginia on June 15, 1968. Don has completed two years in Business Administration and plans to continue his education at Drake College in Florida this fall. While at Monroe, Don was active in basketball, softball, and took part in the college newspaper.
Jaycee Auction Sale

A public auction will be held Saturday, June 29 at the Sperryville school grounds beginning at 11 a.m. under the sponsorship of the Rappahannock Jaycees. A great selection of articles will be sold among them household furnishings, tools, dishes, antiques, a TV, appliances, and many, many more items. This is an annual project of the Jayces and funds acquired are used to support community activities. . Among recent projects of the Jaycees were the annual beauty pageant which gives a student scholarship and the installation of cation lights at the high school.
