Ideal Sedy.* Award
Mrs. Ann! Cannon Thornhill of
Alexandria was a member of the June graduating class of The Washington School for Secretaries and received the Ideal Secretary Award. She was also named the most outstanding student of 1968 and received the title of Miss (in this case Mrs.) Washington School tor Secretaries. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Cannon of Castleton and is married to Randolph R. Thornhill, formerly of Washington, Va. abrasions of the head and back and a lacerated arm. He was taken to Culpeper ballroom of the Mayflower Hotel, Washington, D.C. Mrs. Thornhill received an administrative Secretarial diploma. She had a perfect attendance record, honor credits in typing and shorthand and all A’s in her academic courses.
Selection for the Ideal Secretary Award and outstanding student was made by a vote of students, faculty and administration and based on appearance, grooming, attitude, scholastic achievement, personality, dependability, intelligence, motivation and organizational ability.
Mrs. Thornhill has accepted a position with the AFL-CIO Maritime Legislative Committee with Ben Mann, Deputy Director.
She attended Rappahannock County High School for three years and was graduated from Groveton High School, Alexandria in 1967
