Mr. and Mrs. Grady Vest were Sunday visitors of Mrs. Wayne Murphy in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Blois Trump and three children Stacey, Craig and Robin of Alexandria were Sunday callers of Mrs. Mary Cleverley. They left Miss Stacey Trump at Roundabout Farm in Sperryville for a two weeks stay.

W. A. Gentry returned home last Wednesday from Doctors Hospital in Washington, D. C. where he had undergone eye surgery.

Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Burford, Mrs. E. M. Eastham, and Mr. and Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr. were among those attending a picnic luncheon Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Eastham at Hume.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid and three sons of Arlington were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller.

Mrs. W. A. Gentry spent Monday and Tuesday attending a state Postmaster’s Convention at Twin Bridges Marriott Hotel in Arlington. Her daughter Mrs. Adren Dodson of Staunton spent that time in the Gentry home.

Silver Anniversary

Judge and Mrs. Rayner V. Snead of Washington were honored on their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary with a dinner at their home Fairlea Farm given by their children on Saturday, June 22. All of their five children were present; Pvt. Samuel Snead on leave from Fort Benning, Ga., Lt. R. V. Snead, jr. from Fort Bragg, N. C., Miss Dana Snead from Charlottesville and Bill and Mary Lib at home. The house was decorated with arrangements of garden flowers and a traditional wedding cake was served.

Mrs. Snead was dressed in white with silver shoes and she had a corsage of red roses tied with silver ribbon.

Gifts from numerous friends, relatives and guests were in a light vein and best wishes were expressed primarily in rhyme.
