Lucy Roberts
Lucy V. Roberts, daughter of the late Virginia Roberts, known by the name of Aunt Jennie, died June 14, 1968 at the home of Clarence Wharton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and lived most of her life in Rappahannock County. She is survived by two sons, Brevious Roberts of Washington, D. C. and James Roberts of Linden, N. J., and two granddaughters. Also three sisters, Mrs. Magdalene Dearing, Mrs. Amanda Fletcher and Mrs. Maria Starks, all of Washington, Va.
Eulogy was held at First Baptist Church, Sunday, June 16, at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. R. C. Davis, assisted by the Rev. U. S. Brokenburr. Pallbearers were Brevious Roberts, James Roberts, Edward Bailey, Jr., Kedric Roberts, Eldridge Wills, and Oliver Starks. Honorary pallbearers were Norvell Davis, Gino Worrell, James R. Freeman and Hampton Fletcher.
Mr*. Mildred Weirs
Mrs. Mildred Weirs of 14 3 Duddington Place, S. E Washington, D. C. and Sperryville’ died on Wednesday, June 19, 1968 at Washington Hospital Center. Mrs. Weirs was a social worker and a graduate of New York University. Survivors are her husband Victor Weirs, one son William H. Unger of renafly, New Jersey and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 24.
