Bridesmaids were Miss Diane Marie Woodward and Miss Dale Elaine Woodward, both of Castleton. Their floor-length gowns were of pale pink chiffon over taffeta with a bodice of white eyelet. A satin bow of deep pink accented the waistline and they had matching head pieces. TTieir flowers were deep pink carnations with satin streamers.
Mr. Woodward was best man for his son and ushers were Jackie Myers of Rixeyville and Warren Lee Smith of Sperryville.
A reception was held in the Sperryville fire hall. The wedding cake was served by Mrs.Charles Bailey of Alexandria and presiding at the punch bowls were Mrs. Ruby Moffett of Alexandria and Mrs. H. B. Wood Jr. of Woodville. Miss Donna Kay Woodward was in charge of the guest book.
Mrs. Settle chose for her daughter’s wedding, a turquoise dress and a corsage of white carnations. The bridegroom’s mother wore a dress of eyelet lace over pink satin and her flowers were also white carnations.
For traveling the bride chose a three-piece knit suit of turquoise and the white roses from her bridal bouquet.
