Battle Schedules
Visit in Rappk.
William C. Battle, Democratic Candidate for Governor of Virginia, will visit in Rappahannock next Tuesday. He -i.-- will be at the courthouse in Washington at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28. The public is invited to visit with him.
Benefit Supper At Amissville
A dinner for the benefit of Amissville Fire Department will be held at the fire hall on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 5 to 9 p.m. Dinner for adults will be $3.00 and for children $2.00. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of a new fire truck.
On Sunday, November 2, Mr. Clyde C. Pearman of Laurens, S. C. will preach at the 11 o’clock service at the Washington Baptist Church.
Clarke Rally
A rally for William E. Clarke, candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates from the 28th District will be held at the National Guard Armory in Warrenton on October 26 beginning at 5 p.m. Rally speaker will be Alexandria McMurtrie, Mr. Clarke’s Attorney.
