Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley with Mr. and Mrs. Forest McCartey of Stephens City had picnic supper Sunday at The Pinnacles Picnic Area. They report having seen seven bears while in the area.
Mrs. Holden McClung of Strasburg and Florida was the guest Saturday of Mrs. J. M. Lillard.
Sunday callers of Mrs. Henry M. Keyser and J. D. Keyser were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Bernard, Jack Micks and son John, all of Fredericksburg.
Judge and Mrs. Charles G. Rowell, Mrs. Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Rose of Surrey were visitors Sunday of Jos. D. Keyser and with Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Black of Sperryville and Mrs. F. Downing Wood were Mr. Keyser’s dinner guests at the Hy-Wy Restaurant in Front Royal. Judge Rowell and Mr. Keyser served together in France in World War I.
Miss Frances Wood of Staunton spent Friday and Saturday nights with her mother Mrs. F. D. Wood at Sunnyside.
Stewart Palmer of Blue Ridge Community College and Miss Nan Gilbert, of Front Royal were visitors Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Palmer at Scuffle Hill. Mrs. H. Magruder Keyser and sons Scott and Joe were over night guests Sunday of Mrs. H. M. Keyser. Judge and Mrs. W. F. Moffett spent Saturday in Richmond attending Parent’s Day at the University of Richmond where their son Frank is a student.
