Mr. and Mrs. Cary Thornhill and their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill entertained on Sunday with Open House for eighty guests, honoring Mr. Thornhill on his eightieth birthday. Guests from a distance were Mr. Thornhill’s sister, Mrs. Maude Schlosser and Mr. and Mrs. David Bau of Washington, D. C.
Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Missionary Society and Brotherhood held their regular meeting at the church Wednesday evening. Following the business
meeting the members enjoyed a| covered dish supper.
Miss Ruby Jewell of Luray is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bob Peyton. Sunday afternoon guests were Mr. and! Mrs. Loring Anderson, jr. and children Emest and Karen Sue o( Culpeper. Sunday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baker of Winston.
Guests Thursday, Friday ancf Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Russell' Settle were their granddaughters, Cheri and Teri Lee and Mrs. Elizabeth Cee of Oxon Hill. Md. On Friday they spent the day on Skyline Drive with a picnic at the Pinnacles.
