Cider, Apples and
Broom Sales
The Rappahannock Lions Club will hold their annual sale of apples, cider and brooms again this weekend on the Carrigan lot east of the Town of Washington. The results of a successful sale provide greater aid to Eye Conservation and Eye Bank programs of the Club. A new consignment of brooms has been received and distributed. Please contact a Lions Club member for yours.
Lion Ian Pryde, who recently nearly lost a finger in a hay baler, was welcomed back to the last meeting and wishes for a speedy recovery from recent surgery are sent to Lion Ralph Rowzie. T. S. Rees was welcomed and inducted into the club by president Lester Deal.
Harvest Supper At Forest Grove
Forest Grove Baptist Church will sponsor the annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, Nov. 8 beginning at 5 p.m. at the old Forest Grove School building. The old fashioned country supper will be $2.00 for adults and for all carry-out suppers and $1.00 for children. The public is cordially invited.
