At Canterbury, built in about 1812, there is a fireplaee in eaeh room. Among furnishings art’ Italian vases and tables, French wall scones, Venetian hand blown glass lamps, hand carvings from Columbia and candelabra from Kcuador, plus many more. There are also many etchings and paintings.

Montpelier is one of the !outstanding period houses in this section of the country. This great plastered stone house1 was built

j by Francis Thornton in the F. T | Valley which carries his initials Handiwork of master craftsmen is evident in the mantels, cornices and paneling The house- is unfurnished but dried arrangements will de-corate the I mantels.

Tour hours on Saturday October 25 are 11 a m. to 5 p.m, and Sunday, October 2b, 1 to 5 p.m. Block tickets are $1 50.
