A public hearing on the proposed location of an improvement to US 211 will be conducted at 10 a.m. February 4 in the new Sperryville Fire Hall.
Maps and other information on the project are available for public inspection and copying at the Culpeper District office artd the Warren Residency office of the Virginia Department of Highways.
Written statements and other exhibits relative to the proposed project may be presented in place of, or in addition to, oral statements at the hearing. Such written statements and exhibits also may be submitted to the Highway Department up to 10 days after the hearing date.
Relocation assistance programs also will be discyssed at the hearing, which is being held to inform area citizens of the plans and to obtain their views.
The improvement is proposed as part of the state’s arterial network. If approved, the project would run 2.15 miles-from roughly 1.6 miles west of the intersection of US 522 to 0.6 of a mile east of the intersection.

Adult Ed. Classes
Adult education classes will be offered at Rappahannock County High school commencing January 29 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and each following Thurs<niy thereafter for eight weeks. Classes will include Beginning Typing with Mrs. Katherine Pomeroy as instructor. There Is no fee for this class. Miss Judy Burtner, Extension Agent, Home Economics, will coordinate a class in re-upholstering and a class in caning, furniture, seats etc. There is no fee for these classes.
Interior Decorating will be taught by Miss Jane Coleman with no fee charged. F. S. Boze will instruct a course in beginning welding and a charge of $5.00 is made for this. All persons interested in any of these may register by calling Rappahannock County High School 987-2471 or Rappahannock County Extension Service by 675-3619, by Thursday, January 22, 1970.
