Persons unable to appear on the appointment date may appear at any examining station at any other time during their birthday month in the year of renewal. A list of stations, locations, and business hours and days will be enclosed with the renewal application. It is essential that the application be accurately and legibly completed in the spaces applicable to the type of license desired. To speed services it is suggested that you do this before appearing at an examining station.
In the event that a driver does not receive his renewal application in his birthday month, or in the month preceding when they are mailed out, information as to whether or not he has to take an examination, and what parts of the examination he must take, will be available at any examining station through the use of master information directories prepared currently for this purpose. Electronic data processing makes this possible. The directory is a print-out of stored information.
The manner in which the statutory requirements resulting from the 1968 General Assembly must be implemented by the DMV requires persons of the following ages to have visual and possibly “rules of the road” checks.
Drivers for renewal operator’s licenses of the ages 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, and all over 34 years;
Drivers for renewal chauffeur’s licenses of the ages 30, 38, 42; and all over 42 years if the application is for the fourth renewal of the chauffeur’s license. The eye checks will be
