A number of people have asked about bird feed. The Game Commission does not furnish food for birds. Feeding of Game birds is in most cast's not a feasible practice. A relatively few game birds of the total population can be reached by feeding. When food is put out undesirable species, starling, crows, etc. will get most if not all of it. Feeding tends to concentrate birds and i^ake therm more susceptible to‘ predators. One practice that has jved more successful than feeding la the scraping away of snow so birds can get to grit. Roadways usually provide this but on large areas away from any roads it may be useful to open some such areas. Even with this snow a great deal of food is still available above the snow. Get bobwhlt# down to some grit and hopefully only the weakest will die. Game Cotnmiaaion
