The proposed improvement js generally along existing US 211, and would utilize existing two-lane pavement for one direction of traffic where feasible. It has been customary to add two 12-foot traffic lanes and utilize existing roadway where possible in constructing the arterial network. Map on Page 4

Circuit Court
Jack Godwin Whitfield of Warrenton entered a plea of guilty in Rappahannock County Circuit Court this week on two charges of manslaughter. He was sentenced by Judge R. V. Snead to 12 months in jail and a fine of $500 on each count. One 12 month sentence was suspended on good behavior and payment of costs within a reasonable time following his release. Whitfield had plead not guilty in a trial by jury last March and was found guilty. At that time he was sentence^ to nine months in jail and $500 fine on each count. The manslaughter charges resulted from a single - car crash west of Amissville on Route 211 in November of 68.
Judge Snead also found Lynwood T. Blankenbaker guilty on two counts of stealing walnut logs. He was sentenced to 12 months In jail on each county and court costs ahd restitution for the property. The jail sentence was suspended and he was put on probation for three years.
