Todays Litterings
Once upon a time, today, there are three Littertrugs: Papa Litterbug, Mama Lltterbug and Baby Litterbug. Theae Utterbugs travel all the highways and byway* of this great Commonwealth. Everywhere these Litterbug* travel -• walk or run - they leave their tracks. Papa Litterbug throws his beer .cans,* whiskey bottles and other garbage out of the window of the family car. Mama Litterbug must get rid of all of her trash, such as tissues, cigarette packs and drink bottles, all at once. Thus adding more clutter to roads and parking areas. Baby Litterbug naturally follows the examples which are set by his elders. It is fun to see the paper fly through the air, hear the metalic ring of the cans as they clash with the pavement and the crash and clinking of glass as it splatters oyer the asphalt. The family car glides across the countryside leaving a trail behind. After many trips, adding up to many miles of travel with frequent stops to replenish the supply, this family of Litterbug* has done an excellent job of covering the earth, rivers and streams with tracks. Where has the beauty gone? Millions of dollars are spent annually to retrieve the trash, remove the cans, pick up the glass and eradicate the tracks of Papa Litterbug, Mama Litterbug and Baby Litterbug -this being the necessary operation to restore beauty and health, and to provide safety along the paths of this Litterbugging population.
Please do your part in helping to eradicate Papa Litterbug, Mama Litterbug and Baby Litterbug. It is necessary for every individual to do his part, for all of us to put his best foot forward, to put an end to the destruction of man’s greatest asset, the beauty of nature. Keep Virginia Clean.

We are urging producers to certify compliance as soon as they ean, but under no circumstances should they do so until they know they have met the program provisions.
