Park Centers Open Easter
• The Visitor Centers at Dickey Ridge and Big Meadows will be open beginning Easter weekend this spring, announced R. Taylor Hoskins, Superintendent of Shenandoah National Park.
Barring severe storms, Skyline Drive will be open for travel, and visitors may obtain information and view exhibits and audiovisual programs at the Visitor Centers from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Big Meadows Campground and Panorama Restaurant are open for use now, and other facilities will be made available in April and May. March Is Good Time To File Return
Refund checks are less likely to be delayed when tax returns are filed early, James P. Boyle, District Director of Internal Revenue for Virginia, said today. /He urged taxpayers to send their returns in now if they have not already done so. It will help taxpayers get their refunds sooner and reduce Government processing costs by enabling IRS to spread workloads more evenly.
To date Virginians have filed 615,216 Federal returns which is about 38 percent of the returns expected by April 15.
