Mr. Patterson and Mr. Wingfield attended Virginia High School League Conference meetings at Charlottesville last Friday and Saturday. They were also on hand to see Luray High School become State Champions of Group II Virginia Schools. Luray defeated Hayden High School 69-63 and in addition to winding up as State Champions, were the only undefeated high school basketball team in Virginia. Our congratulations to Luray!
Art Group Meets
An interesting session on antique dolls was held at the meeting March 10th of the Arts and Crafts Group. Mrs. C. H. Estes of Sperryville assisted by Mrs. Ruth Pillar also ol Sperryville and by Mrs. Frances Grimsley of Culpeper exhibited s number of dolls and clothes. The history and period of each was discussed and it was noted that very old doll costumes are as valuable as dolls. Also discusser was the repair and restoration ol broken or dismembered dolls Mrs. Harald Havstaad, Sperryville and Mrs. Mary Priest, Amissvillc each exhibited dolls.
The program for the next group meeting which is scheduled foi March 24 will be a continuatior on caning or the completion ol any project which has beer started by individuals. The meeting will be at Cab Inn Sperryville begipning at 10 a.m
