Barbecue Saturday
The Amissville Ruritan Club is sponsoring its annual pit-cooked beef barbecue on Saturday, July 4, at Amissville carnival grounds. Serving is from 5 until 9 p.m. and in addition to the beef, the menu will consist of vegetables, drinks, salads, breads and dessert. The lean prime beef is cooked overnight in a covered pit and emerges tender and succulent. It is served with or without barbecue sauce and accompanying foods.
