favorable report from tests and x-rays last Wednesday in Charlottesville. Billy Payne and Danny Hitt accompanied by C. G. Thornhill of Boston spent several days last week at Virginia Beach, returning home Sunday. Guests during the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hackley were Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Hogarty of Glen Bumle, Md. Mrs. Hackley returned home from Winchester Memorial Hospital Friday after tests and treatment. Recent weekend visitors of the Hackleys wore Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Shiflett and family of Durham, N. C.

Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Terhune have recently returned from a weeks cruise In the Caribbean. They boarded the cruise ship Seaward at Miami, Fla. and visited the Virgin Islands and Nassau. Spending this week with the Terhunes are their grandchildren Richard, John and Tammy Hanson of Lanham, Md. and Debbie, Terri and Stevie Terhune of Bethesda, Md.

Mrs. David Strangle and children, Shannon and Marc, left Monday for their home in Burton, S. C. after spending three weeks with Mrs. Streagle's mother, Mrs. Sarah Latham and Susan. They were accompanied to the train in Fredericksburg by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne and enroute they were all dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Peck In Spotsylvania. Susan Latham returned with the Strangles to spend two weeks.
