The truck and a 60 Chevrolet operated by Charles Edward Stringfellow of Amissville met on a hill, according to Trooper R. M. Dodson, and the truck was running to the left of the center of the road. When Jenkins cut suddenly to the right, he ran off the road, lost control and overturned. He was charged with reckless driving.
George Edward Shipe of Front Royal was charged with reckless driving following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on Route 522 a mile and a half north of Hint Hill. According to Trooper W. A, Buntin, Shipe ran off the right of the highway and struck and knocked down a large highway sign. Damage to the 54 Chevrolet he was driving was estimated at $100 and about $75 for damage to the sign.
