Sperryville Carnival
Gross Over $8,500
A large group of viewers lined the streets in Sperryville Thursday night for the annual (parade held in connection with '.he firemen’s carnival. The fire department reported a most successful four-night festival With record attendance on Saturday.
Prizes were awarded Saturday night and the grand prize, a 1970 Ford Maverick, went to C. A. Clark of Warrenton; Kathleen Atkins of Flint Hill received the country ham; Mrs. Byrd Jones of Washington, Va. got the chair and George E. Muth of Woodville received the $10 in groceries.
The gross receipts of the four-night carnival totaled in excess of $8,500.
